move LMC (disambiguation) -> LMC[edit]

The result of the debate was Move. I respect Husond's arguments, but it probably depends where one comes from; I didn't hear about the band either, and it's questionable whether they'd still be the (almost) primary meaning in a couple of years. Duja► 17:19, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose this move, and LMC (music group) should be moved back to LMC. The band is the only entry on the disambiguation page that has this exact name. All the other entries are just possible things that the letters LMC could stand for. In fact, the presence of many of those on the dab page is rather dubious, such as Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School and Long run marginal cost, not to mention the red links. Contrary to the statement of the proposal, all these entries seem far less known than the band LMC, which I immediately recognized when I saw this proposal.--Hús ö nd 06:12, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Support LMC is a relatively obscure band. If REM do not deserve main article status, I can't see how LMC do. While I agree that some of the acronyms on the page are dubious, most are solid. The London Musicians Collective, for example, is branded as LMC on its web site and generally referred to as LMC. --DanielRigal 13:44, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SMC under "Astronomy"?[edit]
