Suggestion to move article to correct LEN event name:[edit]

The correct name as used by LEN for this event is "European Championships". It is therefore suggested changing the name of this article and the relevant articles of the championship editions to be closer to this naming convention. Whilst the swimming disciple is "LC", this is not relevant for WP, Syncro, Diving, OWS...

As per WP:NAME the article name must non-ambiguous, which means we can't just use European Championships, so I therefore suggest either:

  • LEN European Championships
  • European Aquatics Championships
  • LEN European Aquatics Championships

Currently my preference is to the first option.

Example reference: European Championships regulations.

I will make the move in a few days if there is no response. Yboy83 (talk) 12:54, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Right then. No one responded, so I have made the moves to all the relevant articles. Contrary to my preference above, I went with the format YYYY European Aquatics Championship to match the format of the World Aquatics Championships series of articles.
Here's a watchlist for all the articles using the updated name formatting: User:Yboy83/Euro Aquatics Champs watchlist. Yboy83 (talk) 15:48, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
