Reorganizing LED-related pages[edit]

There are 23 different LED-related pages, and I think there should be less than half that many. Rename to Light-emitting diode display[edit]

To be inline with Wikipedia naming conventions, e.g.: Light-emitting diode television. Article clueless about "Discrete"[edit]

The article seems to misunderstand what a discrete device is, seemingly confusing it with surface-mount (as though it is an antonym of thru-hole). SMD means surface mounted discrete components, so I don't understand how it is different from discrete.Wikfr (talk) 17:32, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When you say it reduces the maximum viewing distance of 25% do you mean "MINIMUM" viewing distance, instead??? This is more corret, in my opinion.

Largest display confusion[edit]

The text in this article states 'The largest LED display in the world is over 500 meters long and is located in Suzhou, China, covering the Yuanrong Times Square.' Precedence Claim[edit]

The article describes a claim for precedence as a historical development. However, the references do not resolve to justify positions. None of the information can be independently verified and can only be considered ‘anecdotal’ at this point. No references to the claimed equipment appear in Google search, and this item is not recognized in published technology histories on LED development as being a factor.

Vandalism by 78.134.157.244[edit]

Page needs rewrite[edit]

So after looking it up, I found that a large amount of this article is taken from an article almost word for word written by a man named Richard Simpson https://blooloop.com/uncategorised/in-depth/audiovisual-a-short-history-of-the-led-large-area-video-display/

However, it is uncredited. Also, This article makes a significant amount of claims that don't seem to be backed up by anything other than word of mouth (Mark Fisher realizing the idea that led screens could be used on stage). Also, this page isn't really clear on what a LED display actually is. Technically, shouldn't OLED displays be included in this article? There are alot of issues that need addressing. What do you think? I'm sure I missed a few things
