Jules Gravereaux[edit]

It is stated that Jules Gravereux was one of the founders of the Bon Marché department store. This is not exactly true. He was an employee of the founders and rose through the ranks to become a member of the board. The founders left him a share in the department store which made him extremely wealthy.
