Regarding the mystery of the portraits of Nobel Laureates at the rear underground entrance of Kyobo bookstore, I believe all the portraits are of Nobel Literature prize winners. THis makes sense for a bookstore, but there also seems to be an aspirational motive here, Koreans often note that Korea has not yet produced a Nobel laureate in literature and look forward to the time when one of their countrymen will be up on the wall. The fact that the great rival, japan, has several Nobel laureates in literature also rankles. Shirokuma1 (talk) 02:01, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the "mystery" is a ridiculous addition to the article. I'm removing it. --Bentonia School (talk) 08:49, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This rings of PR spin to me and I don't know how relevant that is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.153.105.250 (talk) 07:25, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citations?[edit]

I;m sure such statements as Kyobo Book Centre being the largest and most famous in Korea are correct, but when I made similar statements on another Korean topic, my common-knowledge (among people in Korea) statements that are a bit difficult to back up (especially against an editor who says either it's original research or citing specifics doesn't show that it's generally true. - Think how you would support a statement on the color of the pavement in Seoul.). I find it interesting that here there has not even be a "citation needed" note put up at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.225.30.91 (talk) 13:38, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
