Context?[edit]

This is very useful having the entire of the Declaration of Independence here, but there is utterly background information about what was happening in Korea in 1919 that led to declaration being issued. --A.S. Brown (talk) 21:47, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure this article is relevant. The text is already at Wikisource (which is normally the case for whole documents) and the context is given by March 1st Movement and other articles.
Besides, I wonder about the translation. Who is the translator? The text (and even the title) is slightly different from the one you can see in Tapgol Park in Seoul (I just added a picture). Seudo (talk) 22:38, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

Hi, I just removed the text/translation of the document from the page due to copyright concerns.

I'm nearly certain the hangul/hanja is not copyrighted, but the English translation that was given I'm pretty sure was. If someone can find a noncopyrighted translation (maybe the one in the picture?? although I'm not sure if freedom of panorama laws or government published texts matter in that case) or translate it themselves I think it can go back up.

There's an English translation on Wikisource, but I can't find an indication of who it came from. toobigtokale (talk) 21:06, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
