"Free translation"[edit]

"free translation"? "real translation"? What exactly do these mean? Is it saying that the first is more of a poetic translation, while the second is more word-for-word literal? Or does "real" mean official? Pimlottc 16:48, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The intention was poetic as opposed to literal. As far as known there is no official English translation.

People who do not know Tongan are requested not to meddle around with the Tongan spelling. --Tauʻolunga 09:42, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Who wrote the words? Book source said Tēvita ʻUnga but the official site of the palace says its Uelingatoni Ngū.--KAVEBEAR (talk) 08:10, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
