Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air (KITA), Malay for "People's Welfare Party"[edit]

I disagree with the last reversion of my previous edit. It seems to me that WP:PIPING is quite clear: piping or redirects should not be used in disambiguation pages, the target article name should be used. I don't see that Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air meets any of the exceptional criteria. The party's official name may be Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air, but the disambiguation page is intended to list the article name. I'm no Malay speaker, so the translation - from Google Translate - in my edit may not be very good, and might need improvement. But however the entry is worded, the link should be directly to the article, regardless of whether that name is in English or Malay. Obviously the Malay name also needs to appear in the disambiguation entry, with the acronym, but there should be no pipe or redirect.

I propose restoring wording and link similar to my version, although someone more familiar with the topic and the Malay language might need to reword it slightly if the translation is wrong. However I still assert that the exact article name should appear in the entry, and be linked with no redirect or pipe. Possibly the article itself should be renamed, if its current title is not a good translation. (This is the English language Wikipedia, so I suspect that renaming the article to Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air is not the correct approach.) Mitch, I agree with you after looking at the guidelines, however as a Malaysian, I can verify, together with looking at the Malaysian press reports (http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/fmt-english/politics/pakatan-rakyat/14453-kita-opposes-suspension-of-anwar-a-co) that the English version of this political party's name is Malaysian People's Welfare Party. I have corrected the link as you recommended.Lordadvantine (talk) 08:05, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
