You[edit]

literary meaning: "serene", make no sense, 壅遏不通曰幽 蚤孤铺位曰幽 动祭乱常曰幽, this is one of the worst name.--刻意(Kèyì) 14:57, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

deletion[edit]

I have removed the sentence 'King You's folly predates Aesop's classical tale of the The Boy Who Cried Wolf by more than one hundred years'. If there is no evidence of the truth of this story other than that of a historian 600 years after the event, such a statement is questionable. Mzilikazi1939 (talk) 17:21, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Given that Chinese historians have considered the particular source (Records of the Grand Historian) to be a reliable source for thousands of years, I think that the idea that it is unreliable (vis-a-vis the ancientness of the period — I am not claiming that it is "reliable" in the sense that modern documents that contain direct evidence is reliable) is unwarranted. Still, I do believe that the sentence was probably correctly removed due to implicit POVness. --Nlu (talk) 16:12, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
