Redo of the page

Who ever re-did the main page really cluttered it and made it hard to read. It should be left it a more layed out form. Please do not change this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TMS2787 (talkcontribs) 09:59, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

He did a pilot for a show on HBO that is supposed to be airing this fall call "How To Make It In America." There is an entire blog about how he was cast in the show on his official website. it looks like he is going to be credited as Scott Mescudi on this show, which may be part of the confusion. http://www.kidcudi.com/news/?p=434 that is the link to Cudi's blog on the subject —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.232.152.240 (talk) 04:42, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I agree. I looked up the pronunciation in Wikipedi and was heartbroken that it was not shown. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peterbillionaire (talkcontribs) 23:53, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

It's pronounced CUH-dee, and he was born on January 30, not October. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.219.129.1 (talk) 23:23, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Does anyone have any references to prove the pronunciation? I was in SF a few weeks ago and the announcer pronounced it like 'cutie'. That doesn't mean he was right but I'd really like to get a definitive answer. Does he say his name in any of the songs? OlYellerTalktome 19:16, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
I did more searching and realized that the nickname comes from his last name. Therefore his name is pronounced 'cuddy' as stated in the article. OlYellerTalktome 19:12, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
His name is spoken at the end of Day N Nite... sounds like "coddy" in the song, but is more likely pronounced "cuddy"... - Adolphus79 (talk) 16:59, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Leaked Music

Kid Cudi has several songs that he has recorded that have been leaked. From the leaked music there has been several mixtapes/demotapes made by his fans. In the end all the mixtapes are music that was originally created by Kid Cudi and in that respect I think that they at least deserve a mention. That is why I listed them in "Other", but maybe "Leaked Music" or "Fan Made Mixtapes" would have been the more appropriate choice? Devonbts (talk) 22:52, 3 December 2009

Leaked music would be 'Know Why' 'Do it alone' - on Demo And 4 interludes or 3 cant remember New demo tape —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.125.136.247 (talk) 04:53, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

There has been way more leaked music than what you've listed. Cudi officially has 1 mix tape and 1 studio album with about 30 total songs. He easily has 60+ songs. So that means over half the music he has made is uncredited on wikipedia; which i think is, well... retarded. Is it really that bad of a thing to have a "Unofficial MixTape" section?? Its not hurting anyone, and it would only be helping Kid Cudi to expose more of his music. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Devonbts (talkcontribs) 22:30, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

As stated many times before: Kid Cudi is not associated with Danny! in any way, shape or form. He is also not associated with Lil Wayne. Johnny Polygon should be associated with Kid Cudi, they have both worked together and did a remix to Johnny's "Riot Song" which features Kid Cudi. The song is also featured in HBO's How to Make it in America. On HBO’s ‘How To Make It In America’ mixtape hosted by Kid Cudi, Cudi states over the opening track that Johnny is “… one of the illest up and coming artists. We did a remix to this song so look for that soon.” http://www.last.fm/music/Johnny+Polygon The song is also featured on Johnny's 2010 Mixtape Rebel Without Applause http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/mixtape/id.1032/title. Johnny opened for Kid Cudi on December 22nd and 23rd of 2009 at Club Nokia in LA. He also has a cameo in his Pursuit of Happiness video. TeamPolygon (talk) 22:21, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Section at the end of "Music Career" reads "Also, the release of the short film for "Maniac" directed by Shia LaBeouf^[33] will be released in October 2011.^[34]". It should read "Also, the short film "Maniac", directed by Shia LaBeouf^[33] and made for Cudi's single of the same name, will be released in October 2011.^[34]." ... or something along those lines.

Dad in WWII?

While it is certainly possible for a guy born in 1984 to have a father that was a veteran of WWII, it seems somewhat unlikely, doesn't it? Let's say his father was 18 years old in 1945 (just barely making it into the war), he would have been 57 years old when Cudi was born. Is there a source for this specific fact? I have no evidence to the contrary, but it would be easier to believe that his father was a Vietnam War veteran. DrNietzsche (talk) 00:45, 9 July 2011 (UTC)DrNietzsche

Religion

Though I cannot find any straight-up sources that say so, I was thinking someone else can. The way I take it is Kid Cudi is a Christian, or at least has a belief in God. He expresses this in his song from A Kid Named Cudi called "The Prayer" (samples "The Funeral" by Band of Horses) in which he recites the common prayer "if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take" which is a Christian prayer. He also calls on "God" to help him in life. I'm not sure if he ever did another song refering to God or religious identity. I'm asking for someone to find a reliable source backing this or proving against it, because if so, Cudi should be categorized as a Christian or something along those lines in this article. Personal Life

In 2009, Kid Cudi had emotional and mental problems that required him to see a shrink in order to once again live a healthy life. Cudi stated "I get sad at the oddest of times, I need to see a shrink." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Huntercarreira (talkcontribs) 00:48, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Are those lyrics from one of his songs? Not notable–unless you can provide a reliable source supporting such a claim. Meatsgains (talk) 15:31, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Recording Artist

It says recording artist even though it is a fact kid cudi is a rapper, it even says so on the pages for man on the moon and man on the moon 2, and he is famous with his sing/rap style, so why doesn't it just say Rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PoofooP (talkcontribs) 02:27, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

This is written like a fan page

"With his originality and creativity, as well as the emotion he conveys in his music, Cudi has amassed a large cult-like following."

This doesn’t belong in the intro.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.30.34.108 14:08, 22 November 2019 (UTC)

Eminem collab page

I created the page for the Eminem collab. I can't link it because I'm having technical problems with linking it properly but it is there at the title "The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady", if you search that exact phrase it should pop up. The brave celery (talk) 21:30, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
