Central Asia: Uzbekistan Low‑importance

	Asia portal Khiva is part of WikiProject Central Asia, a project to improve all Central Asia-related articles. This includes but is not limited to Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Tibet, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Xinjiang and Central Asian portions of Iran, Pakistan and Russia, region-specific topics, and anything else related to Central Asia. Untitled[edit]

Undoubtedly, there should be different articles on Khiva and Khwarezm. These things are different. --Ghirlandajo 2 July 2005 19:15 (UTC)

Khwarezm and variants along with Khanate of Khiva redirected to Khwarezmia. LuiKhuntek 01:04, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph of the entrance to the old city[edit]

The photograph was previously described as having been taken between 1902 and 1905 by Prokudin-Gorskii.

However, it is a modern photograph. The same lamp and museum description plaque can be seen above the entrance in other modern photographs. A waste bin can be seen in the same position. The condition of the gateway shows that it has undergone modern restoration. See, for example, the photograph at
