White being recognise by the police[edit]

If you read the book you will see that they didn't recognise the boy, neither did White's mother due the fact that Parnell had dyed the child's hair. (SouthernElectric 19:26, 15 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Book and film[edit]

The screen play was written using the books manuscript, the book was only published after the TV mini series was first transmitted. There are several inaccuracies in the TV 'film' that often get cited as fact even though they are clearly recorded within the book. (SouthernElectric 00:17, 16 October 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Removal of Non fair use image[edit]

The image from 1978 is plainly not fair use, there is another freely available image available, what he looked like in 1978 is not key to the Biography, also the stated source of the image is not the image origin - it's almost certainly a part scan from a book, previous to that publication it was (and could well still be) in the ownership of Tyne Cordiero (or her estate). "to protect minors"[edit]

I've removed this clause, as the book clearly portrays that Mendocino County prosecutors, acting almost entirely alone, decided not to prosecute on the sex charges. That that decision was not based on "laws to protect minors". Wjhonson 20:22, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I totally agree, the problem in Mendocino County was not the law but the implementation of it. Thanks for picking up on that. SouthernElectric 20:40, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speculation that Stayners crash was a hit orchestrated by Parnell[edit]

There is nothing I can see in the cited book that corresponds with the suggested content and citation (since reverted), if someone can cite the page and edition were this content is backed up I would be grateful. Please discuss this issue here as this is the second time this speculation has been inserted. SouthernElectric 14:12, 30 October 2007 (UTC) Edited @ 14:26, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The facts of the accident are that the car simply stalled, it was being driven by an inexperienced driver who was unfamiliar with it (having borrowed it from a co-worker (if I recall correctly). The driver, although having driving away from the accident gave himself up to the police within a day or so - not the actions of a premeditated killer. Obtuse[edit]

My edit summary "stop making code obtuse" referred to the non-obviousness of needing to include the birthdate in the deathdate t in order for it to calculate his age and not throw a sys-error. Gawk! It didn't refer to any editors, just the computer code.Wjhonson (talk) 22:02, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think you mean abstruse. EEng 21:26, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removed "gay men" tag[edit]

The article shows no evidence that Parnell considered himself "gay" and IF added without evidence is a terrible sterotype V. Joe (talk) 14:58, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
