Extra" verse[edit]

The following verse used to also be part of the anthem, but is no longer:

Ya Faransaa, qad matha waktu l`itab...

And yet it is sung in the recording included on the webpage of the Permanent Mission of Algeria to the U.N. [1] -- Picapica 17:05, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why are all the words capitalized in the transliteration? (which is actually not a transliteration but a transcription IMO). Alensha 15:24, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

anti-France verse[edit]

Given that many French people agree with their former President that singing about drenching French soil in the impure blood of inferior Prussians/Germans is "ridiculous" but Algeria refuses to have that same debate, it might be worth discussing in the article in more detail, perhaps?
