2016 update[edit]

This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

I have a conflict of interest that prevents me from performing this edit directly. I suggest the article text be updated to the following:

The Karoo Gemeenskap Party (KGP; Afrikaans: Gemeenskap meaning "community") is a small South African regional political party which was formed in December 2010.
In the 2011 municipal election, the KGP contested and won three out of seven seats in the council of the Prince Albert Local Municipality, while the African National Congress (ANC) and Democratic Alliance (DA) each won two. It also held one seat on the council of the Central Karoo District Municipality, in which the ANC and the DA each held six. In both councils the KGP entered into a coalition with the ANC to control the municipality.^[1]^[2]
In the 2016 municipal election, the KGP won two out of seven seats in the council of the Prince Albert Local Municipality, while the DA won three and the ANC two. It also held two seats on the council of the Central Karoo District Municipality. In both councils the KGP entered into a coalition with the DA.^[3]

Hi htonl. The source you cited does not say that after the 2011 election, KGP formed a coalition with ANC in Prince Albert. Could you please clarify? Altamel (talk) 02:02, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Altamel. That content and ref actually come from the current version of the article - I just changed it to the past tense but didn't check the ref. You're absolutely right that the ref doesn't speak of a coalition in Prins Albert. I have added another reference now (the Mortlock reference) which should help?
