Untitled[edit]

Someone needs to correct the link Neji. Is leads to the page Hyuga Neji, which is the wrong one. Hyuga Neji is a character of the manga series naruto, but neji fron kaori Yuki is an own manga. Sorry, I don't know how that with the links works. --Franczeska 18:33, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year[edit]

Her birthyear is unknown. But it's not untypic, because a lot of mangaka keep their birthyear in secret.

Yuki[edit]

It says here "yuki" means "logical", but in truth it means "snow". Am I mistaken? Is there any context in which it could be translated as "logical", and if so, how do we know we *are* in that context? PoisonedQuill 15:13, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Kanji she uses is different from snow.

Copyvio[edit]

The entire biography was a word for word copy from here. I've removed the entire section and returned the article to a stub. I also question if rabbitprince.com is reliable. So even if the biography was rewritten, rabbitprince.com can't be used as a source. --Farix (Talk) 02:31, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unproven stuff[edit]

Feel free to add back in the article with a reliable source:

  • The "Kaori" Part of "Kaori Yuki" is her real name. She supposedly lives as a hermit with her cat but very little is actually known about her.
  • Her doujinshika name is MoonClock.
  • As of October 2007, she has a three year old girl and a newborn boy.

Regarding this little fiasco going on the last few days[edit]

My patience wears thin; Kaguya-chan, you truly have an ability for getting under someone's skin. I would like to be clear, I have read Yuki-sensei's doujinshi, and let me ask you, do you consider me stupid? Are you having a go at me here? Do you think I can't recognize her work, as if it isn't distinctive enough? Her doujinshika name is MoonClock. I can send you images from her doujinshi if you want, would that satiate you?

We are talking about something you KNOW is true AND I know is true, you can google "MoonClock Doujinshi" and oogle her beautiful Sailor Moon if that's what suits you, I could add the links in this article if that's what you wanted. It's simply not the sort of tidbit that appears, generally, on some respectable quick profile at one of the five outdated barely-topical websites (IGN???) deemed "respectable" by the apparently-existent wiki mafiaso. If I spent several hours browsing through her blog, which I wouldn't even generally mind doing if her blog wasn't so incredibly scripted, annoying, and boring (who'd think we'd ever be applying a word like that to Yuki-Sensei?) anyways, I could find that link. You KNOW I could. But I'm not wasting that much time doing such an insipid task, I'm sorry, I'm just not.

So you win.

I am trying to offer information. She is a hermit, there are not many ffff.... freaking interviews with her, I'm sorry but you are (quite ironically) obstructing the spirit of wikipedia with the letter of it's own laws. Does that amuse you? Do you get a kick out of that? You can go to the page of any congressman and find un-sourced claims about their voting records, their personal life, often with a little note that reads "citation needed" Why was that information not just deleted? Maybe because it's true? I know it's true friend, if it was untrue I'd delete it, I follow American politics closely enough that I could list you the names of every congressman in America, I know who voted for DADT repeal, who voted for DOMA, info on votes like this are only not sourced because no sane person would want to spend several hours of their life on the U.S. government website, or even the much more user friendly VoteSmart finding that link to supply it uncredited to wikipedia.

So I'm sorry if I've had better things to do with my life then spend a precious afternoon reading wikipedia's GRRM-novel length policy on content but is there any good (GOOD) reason why you can't restore, at the very, very least, her Doujinshika pen name and if you really find the multiple, respectable links I provided inadequate just leave a little note saying "citation needed" So that you can make everyone's life a little bit easier? Can you please do that? Or do you really only exist to obstruct the flow of information?

Please don't insult me or make assumptions about me. If I have done something to upset you, then I am deeply sorry. It was never my intention to upset or hurt anyone. The sources posted were/are not reliable (one actually looked like a copy of the bio that used to be here a while ago—that would make it unreliable; the Facebook one did not back up the statement (birthdate) for which it was used as a source—there also was no proof given that it was official, and it's very simple to make a fake one). This is not meant as a criticism of you at all, only the reliablity of sources posted. BLP articles must be held to the highest standard of sourcing. You mentioned that you've been having trouble finding reliable sources, and I understand your frustation. There's not exactly a lot of material on her, and the best bet for any personal material is her official blog. However, that doesn't mean that we should lower the standards. We also must be careful not make assumptions about her pen name (unless of course she has explicitly written about / linked to it). She's entitled to her anonymity online too.
There is good guide on how to identify reliable sources. I think that it would be greatly beneficial to read through it and the policy on living people. And I mean that sincerely. And if you need help (no shame in that), there is the immensely helpful help desk for newcomers, to start with. I find that being civil and assuming good faith about fellow editors tends to help quite a bit. Caps are typicially understood to be shouting, and no one likes to be shouted at or insulted.
Alleged sexualities must be handled very delicately. LGBT+ people still face discrimination (and in horrible cases, even harm) today, and they will constantly have to evaluate whether or not it is safe to disclose their sexual orientation / gender identity. If she has not explicitly said / written "I am ____ and proud of it!", and made her sexual orientation public knowledge, then writing that she is _____, without a reliable source, may be at best inaccurate and at worst, an outing. Outings are not acceptable. I can't emphasize that enough. Everyone is entitled to privacy.
Lastly, on a different note, Wikipedia is not about winning, it's about teamwork and building a marvellous, accurate encyclopedia. Hope that helps, Kaguya-chan (talk) 21:52, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
