Merge Suggestion[edit]

Posted this over at Revoltech but seen as both articles are stubs, would it be worth merging the two?

Been bold, no one seems to care. So I've merged. Wallhead3004 (talk) 11:44, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because some feel there's nothing left to care about anymore. Personally, I wish we would just bring back the figures tables. I still believe they had their place on this article and were not going against anything present in the What Wikipedia is not article so often cited by their detractors. I could deal with the opposing arguments, but closing the discussion and calling the decision of deletion a Consensus, considering the still ongoing debate, was not acceptable to me. Now, I realize that this discussion would be more suited to the Revoltech article, so I will not go any further here, but I do think we should reopen the debate and reconsider this move there at the Revoltech article.

But as it is, Wallhead3004, I think it was the right decision to merge the Revoltech article into Kaiyodo's.

NeoWorm: This was only english page, frequently updated, that had list of Revoltech models. Right now, it lost its whole value for me. Maybe I am not only one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.103.69.74 (talk) 20:14, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd just like to point out that I do not oppose the full list of Revoltechs by any means, but if the Revoltech page is to be "wiped" as to be barebones as it was /has been before, then a merge with this article would be preferable.

I'll keep an eye on this and see how it pans out, and perhaps if the opposition to the full Revoltech article has any merit then it might be time to reopen the discussion. (Wallhead3004 (talk) 14:37, 4 January 2011 (UTC))[reply]

I think that the full list of Revoltech figures should definitely return. As has been mentioned, it was a valuable resource and there's nothing to be gained by removing it. I see it as equivalent to, say, a director's filmography or an author's bibliography. In this vein, perhaps it could have it's own sub-page in the same manner that these other commercial creative works have. Would this mollify those that don't want to see it on the main page?

Further, I'd point out that many other toylines have full lists, for instance the Super Robot Chogokin article. If such lists are not appropriate, then they need to be removed from all lines. The present treatment of Revoltech on Wikipedia seems more like a grudge against that toyline than a comprehensive Wiki policy. Optimus Sledge (talk) 00:46, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since we haven't heard from those opposing the tables, I went ahead and copied them over to a new Revoltech Wikia page rather than risk sparking a edit war. I added a link at the bottom of the Kaiyodo page, so hopefully the content is easy enough to find for those looking for it. I'll do my best to keep the Wikia page up to date, but any assistance/input would be greatly appreciated! TasogareCyrano (talk) 19:49, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
