To merge species articles to Kairuku, consistent with the usual paleospecies page management. Klbrain (talk) 19:20, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As noted at Kairuku grebneffi and Kairuku waewaeroa, both of these species articles should be merged into the genus article, as is the usual handling with paleospecies - especially if the material on one species is essentially all there is to say on the genus, and the other species article is of stub size.

(@FunkMonk: I suggest it would be beneficial if you start a merge discussion with a minimal statement in such cases; having to establish the topic may be just that little threshold that keeps people from commenting?) ----Elmidae (talk · contribs) 10:28, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps, but even in ones where I do start a section, it seems to depend more on the obscurity of the subject than on whether there is a section or not. FunkMonk (talk) 10:46, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, fossil penguins are an acquired taste :p --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 10:55, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Support-That is usually how they do it, plus this is a stub and both of the species articles are start/stub. (Also, there's three species and only two species articles. If there's any, there should be all) Asparagusus (talk) 16:14, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

comment I don't see any dissension to this idea. I'd say that you could go ahead and merge. Joyous! | Talk 03:26, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
