Dynaman on DVD[edit]

It would be rather nice to see this series on DVD. R.G. 06:48, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone add the English dub/parody cast, please? 71.111.232.40 23:21, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That could be kind of difficult. The cast and dubbers seemed to only last an episode or two in the parody.Gladrius 14:55, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What parody?[edit]

What parody is this that is repeatedly mentioned in the article but isn't distinctly defined in the introduction? There needs to be some information about that... [unsigned]

Aired on USA Network in 1988. Part of Night Flight. Six episodes.

There's a little more info online, and some are at least temporarily on YouTube, such as the pilot episode. [unsigned]
As I recall (from my memory of seeing it) the parody consisted of the episodes dubbed into English using totally made-up dialog that had nothing to do with the original Japanese script. ~Amatulić (talk) 08:16, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This SERIOUSLY needs to be explained in the article, not simply abandoned (without a citation) in the lede.
Notable villains include Bernie Tanaka and Mel Fujitsu, Sparky the Wonder Squid, and various Reptiles That Go "Whee!" — yes, I saw a couple of episodes; yes, they are hilarious. However, the commentaries and interviews between segments (like an interview with a dejected Dyna-Beige, who'd been cut from the cast) really sold it. http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Dynaman_(parody) Weeb Dingle (talk) 05:49, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
At one point, this entry DID have a section on “Night Flight Presents Dynaman”. Six episodes were produced for the USA Network. ( Mid-eighties ) They were re-dubbed by an American comedy team and featured a lot of, then current, rock-n-roll music. There was also an hour long “best of” / mockumentary, featuring fans at a fictional Dynaman Convention, fan made music videos, and comments by stunt lizard men. ( All members of the afore mentioned comedy team.). Not sure why it was removed, the internet movie database probably has an entry. But, it did actually exist! 75.107.41.198 (talk) 03:03, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm honestly disappointed there's no information or separate article about the parody. I came here hoping to find information about how and why it was produced, and whether it might have been responsible for the eventual production of the American Power Rangers series if some American producer saw it and had a clever idea. —Robotech_Master (talk) 14:28, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Data[edit]

This article needs more unsourced details of the show. especially any information known only to hardcore fans and ignored by the rest of the world. after all, thats the purpose of Wikipedia: to be a storehouse for all the nonnotable datum in existence.(Mercurywoodrose)66.80.6.163 (talk) 15:39, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
