Why are only bollywood songs listed in the discography?[edit]

The discography seems to be biased. It only lists KK's bollywood songs. Somebody please include his Tamil and Telugu songs, too. Appadi Podu Podu Podu!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.162.138.71 (talk) 12:09, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photograph[edit]

What does no free image indiacate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rsrikanth05 (talkcontribs) 08:38, August 25, 2007 (UTC) I found an image of KK, which I found on HindiLyrix.com, which I plan to upload, should I upload? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rsrikanth05 (talkcontribs) 07:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC) the list of the songs is not complete, for example, 'ek hockey doongi rakh ke' from Chak De India has K K as a singer.61.246.161.198 09:34, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

references[edit]

what references does this article need? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 08:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I ask again. Why is this article Unreferenced? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:03, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The section discography lacks sources, means there are no sources available to refer if someone wants to verify that the songs are actually sung by K.K. If you are aware of any, feel free to add them. ~ Priyanka (talk) 15:44, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, the article lacks sources for KK's biography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Twin.priyanka (talkcontribs) 15:48, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

I plan to move this page to Krishna Kumar Kunnath, as tht is his real name. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 17:26, 15 July 2008 (UTC)  Done[reply]

Image[edit]

Removed that unrelated image: Image:Mount Ara by Tiko Aramyan.jpg --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:05, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch! Who is this Kevin Nicks (pictured), I wonder? Andrewa (talk) 15:12, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, looks suspiciously like it's a photo of a young and (so far) non-notable comedian, uploaded by himself to Wikimedia Commons and added to this article to prevent its deletion there... clever if so. I've Ara by Tiko Aramyan.jpg nominated it for deletion there. Andrewa (talk) 16:29, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And it seems likely it was his second try at least, see his Commons user talk and note the previous image deletion (I know of no way of finding out what it was but am tempted to guess it was a similar image), and his deleted Commons user page and note the vanity content. Andrewa (talk) 17:14, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

Some idiotic noob ruined the table. Can someone put it back to normal? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 07:33, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Performances[edit]

The section needs to be removed due to lack of sources. Anik Ghosh (talk) 08:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Umm... I have provided one ref, and YOU gave a ref for that big fat paragraph.. Find a newspaper soucre. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 11:06, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved per discussion, which demonstrates that his most common name in reliable sources is "KK". - GTBacchus(talk) 17:56, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Krishnakumar KunnathKK (singer) — KK is his common name, and people hardly know him as Krishnakumar Kunnath. relisting see below Andrewa (talk) 06:39, 12 June 2011 (UTC) Anik Ghosh (Talk) 14:48, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Support per WP:Article titles. Arfaz (talk) 16:31, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose A longer form of name is better than a very short version that has to be qualified. I would support if he were the only KK. The Proffesor (talk) 21:17, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: Interesting observation, not supported by any explicit guideline AFAIK but we could appeal to WP:IAR. No change of vote but wondering. Andrewa (talk) 14:58, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. If that's the common name, that's the preferred article title, disambiguated as proposed. The existence of other KKs such as KK (musician) is not a major consideration here. Andrewa (talk) 01:37, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • See below for some evidence. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 15:19, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose we use vanity names only when the majority of reliable sources refer to the topic solely by the vanity name. Currently the most reliable source used in our article ALWAYS includes the full name at some point and so move to a vanity name is not appropriate.Active Banana (bananaphone 13:52, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: Evidence? While noting that there's none offered by either side as of yet. An explicit link to this most reliable source and some explanation as to why it is that would help; The reference list is quite long! No change of vote but wondering. Andrewa (talk) 14:58, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment: The phrase vanity name suggests to me possible POV. We don't discriminate against article names on the basis of assumptions as to the motivations for their use, but only on the basis of usage. No change of vote. Andrewa (talk) 15:09, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

Any additional comments:
  • Is there any guideline in wiki that suggests the use of long form/full names rather than common names as article titles? I guess not. The Professor, please explain your comments then. KK is never known by his full name but is always credited as KK or Kay Kay. So it should definitely be moved. Arfaz (talk) 05:51, 7 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Agree. No such guideline AFAIK, and I see no reason to believe that one would be adopted if proposed. Andrewa (talk) 01:37, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • WP:STAGENAME but since the reliable sources do not use only the stagename, neither should we. Active Banana (bananaphone 13:54, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • That guideline is certainly relevant, but it doesn't suggest the use of long form/full names rather than common names as article titles, so the answer is still No such guideline AFAIK. Andrewa (talk) 06:34, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting to allow the nominator (or anyone else for that matter) to produce some evidence as to common usage (of one name or the other). So far all we have is conflicting claims, all of them unsubstantiated. Had I not voted I would probably close this as no move, no consensus in the light of the lack of evidence of common usage. Andrewa (talk) 15:03, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And I'd have been wrong to close it! Glad I didn't. Because...
Evidence wasn't at all hard to find... The very first reference on the page
http://www.hindu.com/mp/2006/12/09/stories/2006120901030400.htm
reads in part singer Krishna Kumar Kunnath, better known as K.K..... I think the onus of proof now lies strongly with those opposing, remembering that the closing admin will consider the validity of the arguments not just the number of votes. Andrewa (talk) 15:23, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Death appears to be real[edit]

Best to focus on keeping the page consistent, since the IPs editing may not know how to properly format recent death information or may come to the page to add condolences. Gatemansgc (TɅ̊LK) 18:10, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

While the death is confirmed by all the major media firms, cause of death is yet to be made public. Please cute the source info (cardiac arrest) mentioned in wiki page of KK. AlihasanAMU (talk) 19:28, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
