"in der Tiefe aber hart am Bergesfuß ruhen die Becken zweier Seen, in welche einst das Blut der grausamen Herrscher floß, und der große See hat noch den Namen Königssee." The legend tells that the blood of King Watzmann flew down the mountain and made two sees; and one of them is still called the Kingslake = Königssee.
