Japanese version listed?[edit]

Apparently this is listed as a Japanese release in Nintendo Japan's E3 2019 Direct. Will it actually come to the region? Zacharyalejandro (talk) 23:23, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not sure. JD2019 was also announced to be released in Japan, albeit not as far in advance (I believe it was in March 2019) but it was delayed and to the best of my knowledge canceled. The Switch lacks region locks though so any copy would be playable in the region.

The Nintendo Switch version of Just Dance 2020 supports a smartphone as a controller.[edit]

Contradictory to what the current page says in the Gameplay section "As with the previous installments of the franchise, players must mimic the on-screen dancer's choreography to a chosen song using either motion controllers or the game's associated smartphone app (which, however, is incompatible with versions of the game on Nintendo consoles, in favor of exclusively supporting Joy-Con or Wii Remote).", it is possible to use the Just Dance Controller App to dance with a smartphone on the Nintendo Switch version of Just Dance 2020.

Video for reference

Thus, the sentence in bold should be changed to something exactly or similar to "(which, however, is incompatible with the Wii version of the game, in favor of exclusively supporting Wii Remote). 71.215.75.16 (talk) 23:16, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. YouTube videos are generally not considered reliable sources. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 22:14, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
They are right, and I have seen the option for using a mobile device on my own copy of the Switch version of the game, but I cannot find any reviews or reliable sources to back that up, which is odd. A shame, really, as the article is technically incorrect regarding that at this time. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 03:16, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, found a source. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 03:22, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please add to the introduction, "By extension, this is the last Wii game to be published by Ubisoft, the last Just Dance game released on a seventh-generation console, and the last Just Dance game to be available on a Nintendo optical disc. A sequel, Just Dance 2021 was released for all eighth-generation motion controller consoles on November 12, 2020, and for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 24, 2020." 99.209.40.250 (talk) 14:20, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Next to "Consequently, this is the final video game in the main Just Dance series released on the Wii console, the platform where the series made its debut in 2009," please add "By extension, this is the final Wii video game to be published by Ubisoft, the final Just Dance game released on a seventh-generation console, and the final Just Dance game to be available on a Nintendo optical disc."[1] 99.209.40.250 (talk) 16:02, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: Sited source doesn't support the addition. Also it is kinda WP:TRIVIA and not sure how detailed a mention it needs in this article. WikiVirusC(talk) 16:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
