Notable?[edit]

Is this person notable? I realize women operated at a disadvantage 150 years ago in this culture, but still, she doesn't seem to have done anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.190.76.5 (talk) 19:22, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Her notability is mainly as C. S. Peirce's second wife. This is a spin-off article from the main Peirce article, where there simply isn't room to cover this stuff. She is a central figure of enduring interest in Charles's difficult and complicated life. There's been a lot written about her, there's mystery about her, there's even a popular-style novel and a poetic book about her and Charles. The Tetrast (talk) 22:00, 25 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
