POV link[edit]

I've removed again the one-sided statement and link about Goldsworthy's appearance in The Games. Please don't add this again without discussing it here first, and see WP:NPOV for Wikipedia's policy on objectivity in articles. —Whouk (talk) 21:16, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not see the actual difference between this and a politician taking an overseas trip, in terms of ability to communicate (unlike Big Brother, the competitors on The Games are not incommunicado), or in holding remunerated directorships, writing books etc - I read William Hague's book on Pitt the Younger recently - it's a good book and he obviously spent some time on it. Did he therefore "neglect his constituency"? Average Earthman 17:31, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note on HoC Public Administration Select Committee Membership[edit]

I have added a note that she has left this Cttee. It would be good to have a date when she left and a description of the work of the Cmmittee during her period of service.

"Cornish Facebook petition" section[edit]

This seems to be teetering on the edge of POV to me. I don't, for example, see the need for the sentence "There are many respects in which people feel that Cornwall's unique needs and identity are subsumed in wider zones" which seems like something from a campaigning site. 86.149.0.189 (talk) 00:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Party didn't exist[edit]

I removed this sentence;

Her election in 2005 meant that the Liberal Democrats hold all the Cornish seats for the first time since 1923.

because the liberal democrats did not exist then. I presume it meant the liberal party, which could be added in if it is. QueenCake (talk) 19:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
