In the 'Reviews' section: It is not clear whether the 'minor changes' and alterations to the plot were made in the serial version or the novel; undoubtedly both differ from the manuscript.

In 'Plot summary', Jude (minor)'s note reads 'because we are too meny', not 'too menny'. ETJ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.67.127.202 (talk) 21:50, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Hardy manipulates the downfall of his characters like a sadistic god": I certainly won't remove this - I think it's well put - but it is certainly an opinion, and should probably be attributed to someone. - Jmabel | Talk 06:27, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This should be corrected: "Called "Jude the Obscene" by at least one hello reviewer,[4] Jude the Obscure received a harsh reception from scandalised critics; it is thought largely for this reason the book is incredably long couldnt get through it that Hardy made the decision to produce only poetry and drama for his remaining 32 years." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.252.190.193 (talk) 17:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an experienced Wikipedia editor, but I am a Hardy student and I recently re-read Jude, so I'm trying to clean up the information and (especially) tone of this article. So far I've expanded the "Writing" section, which only had one (erroneous) sentence, and I moved some irrelevant information from the "Critics" section to the appropriate categories. I'm working on "Themes" now, mostly trying to improve the tone. Do let me know if my citations or format are incorrect, as I'm trying to learn! 97.89.20.188 (talk) 06:10, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good to me. Thanks for your help! If you have any questions please just ask me, and I'll do what I can to help. :) Peregrine981 (talk) 10:13, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
