Official sequel?[edit]

The opening paragragh of this article states the film is an official sequel to the 1939 MGM Wizrd of Oz musical. What part of this is "official"? Do we have a source to back that up? Because sure it has a few references, but being produced by a different studio, etc, how is it official? Blaedvanderwoodsen (talk) 06:48, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm dismayed it's taken four years for anyone to reply to this. You're absolutely correct: That information came from an anonymous fan site that doesn't say where it got that information or exactly how some relatively small animation company obtained the rights from MGM or the Baum estate to make this "official". Just because someone anonymously makes a claim on the Internet doesn't make it true. In terms of research quality, no college professor would have accepted an anonymous Internet claim on a class paper, let alone in an encyclopedia. --Tenebrae (talk) 15:42, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

prosthetic toe?[edit]
