Patrick Henry connection.[edit]

As a descendant of Joseph Winston, I believe, from my research and tree that Patrick Henry and Joseph Winston were 2nd cousins. Joseph Winston's father, as stated, was Samuel Winston. Samuel's father was Anthony (The Younger) Winston. Anthony's brother was Capt. Isaac Winston. One of Captain Isaac Winston's daughters was Sarah Dabney (Winston) Syme Henry, who is Patrick Henry's mother. Since Sarah Dabney (Winston) Syme Henry and Samuel Winston are first cousins, their respective children, Patrick Henry and Col.
