Jewish Encyclopedia[edit]

I believe this biography is taken directly from the Jewish Encyclopedia. In addition to that being a very outdated source, it is not really within the Wikipedia purview. Different people?[edit]

Although Joseph Tzayach (redirected here) is described on this Joseph Taitazak page, are they the same person? April8 (talk) 15:13, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, he is not. The redirection is wrong. A page needs to be created for Joseph ben Abraham Ibn Tzayach (Tziyyah), also spelled Zayyah or Ziyyah. He was the Cabbalist and the author of Even Hashoham, Tzeror haHaim and Sheerit Yosef. See Encyclopedia Judaica, 16:943.
