KidAd. Thanks for getting back. Could you please elaborate as to why you believe I have a COI in this case? I wrote recently on your talk page that "I have never met Joe in person but do know him in passing professionally — we are both energy system modelers." So let me detail my interactions with Professor DeCarolis to date. I  had some email exchange when I  wrote an academic paper (doi:10.1016/j.esr.2017.12.010) published April 2018 that discussed his TEMOA numerical model as part of a broader scientific review. And I had another email response in public when I recently posted a note to this google groups thread: Joe DeCarolis nominated to lead Energy Information Administration following his Senate confirmation hearings. And then some follow‑up to obtain the current headshot as displayed. And for completeness, I am not being paid in cash or in kind to make these edits. To conclude, I have been open with you (and now here) about my relationship and I do not believe I meet the threshold for COI editing. I stress that I am not a friend. But am simply interested solely in the (very open) perspective and direction that Professor DeCarolis will bring to the EIA as its new administrator. Also to add that I have never co‑authored with Professor DeCarolis on any publication, academic or gray. Nor have I contributed to any of his projects in any form (nor vice‑versa). The outcome is that I  will refrain from making direct edits. In which case I need to request some editing in the appropriate forums.
