Requested assessment (Start class)[edit]

Seems more Start than stub - but is very short. Needs some of the typical biog sections found on any more advanced biog. One or two of the first three links could also be under a Further reading or a See also section. To get other editors involved you could go to a project (or a similar article) and request help (there’s a Wikipedia:Reference desk too).

The obvious point to make is the amount of refs pointing to the printed text: are there internet sites that can back up what cannot be instantly read? (Google: "Josef Melan" bridge :gives 60-odd real links). As for sections: Is the Melan System worthy of its own article, or perhaps a section here? (this section can then be linked to from other articles). The technical terms could be wikilinked (eg truss, arches, even iron). Look at 'What links here' to see what links here on Wikipedia (one is a bridge). A list of bridges he has built might be an idea, if feasible.--Matt Lewis (talk) 13:33, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
