Protection[edit]

When an editor breaks the 3 revert rule to protect an article, he/she is punished and blocked from editing, yet when an unregistered user such as User:24.48.255.182 continually vandalizes an article like this one, 5 times since Sept. 28th (see: [1]), nothing is done. Therefore, the best action is to protect the article from this user until we (the serious Wikipedians) feel that he/she will refrain from their actions. Birth Year Ambiguity?[edit]

Thank you for your observation. Some sources state that he was born in 1848, 1849 and 1851. However, the sources which are considered reliable place his year of birth as 1851. Therefore, we will stick with the "1851" year since our policy is to provide relibla veriable sources in our articles and that has now been done. Thank you once more.
