To work into articles[edit]

I used all these links except the Forbes one.Sgerbic (talk) 05:09, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please edit this for me[edit]

I'd like the clause about the Roman Catholic Church be removed from this sentence because i don't think it's accurate:

"An atheist since grade school,[9] Tweet has devoted much of his personal website to his views on religion,[10] in particular on the Roman Catholic Church.[11]"

The religious topic that I emphasize on my personal website is the historical Jesus, not Roman Catholicism. Thank you in advance. Jonathan Tweet (talk) 01:14, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Since the material on the Catholic Church is there, it's accurate to leave it in the article. However I agree there is much more content surrounding Jesus, so I added that verbiage. If you want to discuss additional changes or improvements, just let me know. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  (User:Wtwilson3)  — 12:41, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.

The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.

Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 18:38, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For me it's not quite that simple. I'm an atheist, but my religion is Unitarian Universalist. Jonathan Tweet (talk) 16:01, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and RSs[edit]

Someone put two tags about notability and RSs at the top of the page. There are links to RSs in the "To Work Into Article" section at the top of this page, but I can't do the editing myself. Jonathan Tweet (talk) 16:20, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The tags were added by User:TheRedPenOfDoom; I imagine only he can adequately explain his reasoning behind that choice. BOZ (talk) 13:59, 22 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What a mess this page is. How embarrassing. Let me take a crack at it.Sgerbic (talk) 02:42, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've cleaned up the page. The gaming part looked okay, so I concentrated on updating the page with the new book and other areas. I think the external links still need to be cut back, but ran out of time. I did manage to get the page modernized. Hope everyone likes this rewrite.Sgerbic (talk) 05:14, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I do, good work! One concern though - maybe Grandmother Fish needs its own article... or at least, maybe taking up half the space on this article for one book is a bit much, possibly WP:UNDUE. BOZ (talk) 11:29, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

I've added a head shot for use on the page.

Game designer and children's book author Jonathan Tweet at his home in Seattle, Washington, USA.

And here's a picture of Grandmother Fish, a preview copy. It's at the printer right now

I'm on it! Thanks Sgerbic (talk) 05:10, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Religious views[edit]

The section on religious views relies entirely on primary sources. I've no doubt Tweet really believes these things, but there is no way of telling if these beliefs are significant and worthy of inclusion in the article. Is there a reliable secondary source describing Tweet as an atheist blogger? StAnselm (talk) 21:03, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fancy meeting you here. :-) Jonathan Tweet (talk) 17:22, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
