New Logo and Slogan

On October 2, 2007 Johnson Controls unveiled a new logo and slogan. I'm new and don't know how to edit the page correctly.

Oh, wait, it is a sales pamphlet. "Our just-in-time plants are located near customers' vehicle assembly plants. Seats are assembled, loaded on a truck, in a sequence that matches the cars coming down the assembly line, and delivered to the customer all in as little as 90 minutes."

Ban IP range from JCI

The IP addresses below originate from Johnson Controls Inc. They should be banned from this page for reasons of conflict of interest. Particularly, the first IP originates from JCI's headquarters in Detroit an regularly removes info they deem negative.

192.132.24.81 - removed information about relocating jobs to Mexico. 192.36.86.68 192.36.95.10

See the page history to see what I mean. If any of these people have a particular reason for removing negative information, please respond here... In the meantime, I'm going to revert these edits as best I can manually while trying to preserve edits that have happened since. I'll also be re-adding the positive and negative links that were added (and still contain information). I agree with all of the complaints above. the article as it now reads is an advertisement and not a encyclopedia entry. There is no mention of JCI failures such as a subsidiary that had a contract with NASA to take pictures of the space shuttle launch to determine problems had over 400 cameras pointed at the space shuttle completely missed the shuttle itself as well as the critical images of failure of the launch of Challenger. That was the point of the contract and they failed to meet expectations. There is no explanation of corporate standing in the wake of US auto industry collapse and closure of plants, automotive production was the primary profit center of the company. There is incorrect info about the start of digital controls in building automation (Honeywell, a computer company and building controls company was the first and by far the leader into the 1980's). During the 1990's JCI adverising promoted open protocol control systems while continuing to produce proprietary product and discouraging owners from interoperability. They used interoperability as a marketing tool, but did not practice it with true interoperable protocols like BACnet or Lontalk.

Lots of misinformation and light weight info that make the current article a puff piece. Either delete this or correct by impartial mediator. Baronvon (talk) 03:20, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Optima batteries?
