How "Not Notable"?[edit]

I don't understand the Wiki blurb at the top of the article claiming that Thompson might not be "notable enough" for inclusion. The Thompson Piano Method was the most widely used piano method in North America for several generations. In 8 years in music school, at three universities, on two coasts, I never met a piano major who hadn't been exposed to it as a child.
