I had searched for an author named John Selby . His biography at amazon.com [1] says:

I'm of cattle ranching origins in California and Arizona, one of the few remaining people who actually did the work of a cowboy while growing up - not so glamorous actually. I was eager to head back east to Princeton - and from then on it was non-stop change ... government-funded psychedelic research in the late sixties ... meditation exploration and working as a therapist in the seventies ... loads of trips south into Indian realms where I felt most at home. Then Europe in the eighties where I found people actually eager to plunge into the deeper mind-management methods I'd been developing.

After a number of fulfilling and enlightening but not-quite-right relationships, finally the love of my life appeared at 37 (I'm just writing a book called Tapping The Heart about the 'finding each other' process) ... and then off to Hawaii to do a family (most fulfilling of all) and go deeper into my own explorations.

During the last decade I've been finalizing my life work in developing short-form meditation' techniques and Focus Phrase methods for quickly quieting the mind and shifting into present-moment full engagement. Quite a number of books have emerged along the way - and now my wife Birgitta and I are producing special 'experiential video' programs that in and of themselves, awaken a meditative present-moment quality of consciousness.

I've just sold the book rights to a series that really fulfills my writing life, based on the insights of Charles Haanel merged with my pragmatic methods for manifesting a satisfying life experience. Loads happening.
