It seems very odd to describe Sampson as a Parkwells (talk) 20:44, 14 November 2017 (UTC)n expatriate, as there seems no indication he ever considered returning to Ireland. Why isn't he just an immigrant to the US?[reply]

Political career[edit]

I checked the NCPedia article on John Sampson. He was against the Revolution. Despite this, he was elected but did not serve as councilor of state after the revolution. He was not in the North Carolina legislature according to the references cited. User:G._Moore Talk 13:58, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
