Work in progress[edit]

This is a work in progress. I have inadequate sources online, and will obtain paper sources. --DThomsen8 (talk) 00:25, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notable son of William Penn[edit]

This Philadelphia born son of William Penn, the first Proprietor of Pennsylvania, and a half-proprietor in his own right, seems to me to be quite a notable figure in the history of Philadelphia and colonial Pennsylvania. Currently the article is class=stub, but additional material is likely to be available from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, where I can conduct additional research.

Those who think he is not notable should make their case here. Meanwhile, as a member of the Rescue Squadron, I have tagged the article for rescue. --DThomsen8 (talk) 21:53, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If Dthomsen hadn't got the jump on me, I would have started this article. I just added a little more info that I had, so I removed the AfD tag. Hey, he owned half of Pennsylvania!--BillFlis (talk) 22:46, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting sources on birth date[edit]

I have found conflicting sources on John Penn's birth date, and have started a discussion at WP:RSN#Birth date of John Penn ("the American"). Please comment there.
