Comment In the meantime, I found more sources about the subject and expanded the article somewhat. The subject was born and educated in Canada, moved to Great Britain at the age of twenty-something, and worked there as a composer and author, chiefly of electronic and incidental music. Here, the main source of ambiguity is John Lewis (pianist), who was also a musician and a composer.
The most recognizable disambiguator here is actually genre, so something like John Lewis (electronic musician) vs. John Lewis (jazz) would work best. Barring that, I suppose John Lewis (British musician) will do. No such user (talk) 07:29, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not even 1984 is 100% certain; I only inferred it from the Workshop source [1]: he died shortly thereafter; it might even be early 1985. Support John Lewis (electronic musician) (as proposed by No such user) as we don't have a certain death year. And now that we know the subject's genre, that makes a much better qualifier in any case. I would be apprehensive about John Lewis (British musician) without a reference explicitly stating that the subject is British given his Canadian birth (though perhaps No such user came across a source for that) and, regardless, it would still be slightly ambiguous with Jona Lewie.
