Never a dancer[edit]

Someone has given Lanchbery the classification "Ballet Dancer". He was never a dancer. Ogg 20:43, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sexuality[edit]

His obituary mentioned his male partner's name (I'd have to dig it out), and it was clear he was now in a same-sex relationship, despite having been married to Elaine Fifield (that marriage ended in 1957). We should say something about this in order not to mislead our readers about his sexuality. -- JackofOz (talk) 00:20, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was survived by "his companion Thomas". -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 23:45, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scores by Lanchbery - available for purchase?[edit]

Lanchbery arranged many, many works for ballet. But searching on the internet doesn't turn up any published orchestral scores or piano reductions of his arrangements. Surely these arrangements must have been published? Who publishes them? Where can one purchase them? And why does it seem to be such a big secret where one can buy them? I think this would be appropriate information for a Wikipedia article on Lanchbery - after all, we're talking about the man's main contribution to Western culture. A simple attribution to a publishing house would suffice. Please, if you know this information, include it in the article. Dveej (talk) 15:18, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
