Tone[edit]

I have flagged this article for tone. The language is not what we expect in an encyclopedia article. Some examples:

  • "radio broadcaster known for being a disc jockey and talk-show host": why being known? he is a "broadcaster, disk jockey, and talk show host" would suffice
  • "lasting 13 months, three weeks, four days and 37 minutes before quickly . . ." why the precision? This appears to be a direct quote, and must be marked as such.
  • "career began to skyrocket" hyperbole
  • "gaffing wowed audiences" slang, hyperbole, ad-speak
  • "young upstart"
  • "magical pairing" really??
  • "no one out hustled"
  • "was quickly snatched up"
  • "quickly capitpolting" misspelled, and poor analogy
  • " star power" and how is that measured?

This article needs a lot of work. Kablammo (talk) 16:00, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

The author of this article claims that the image of the "buried alive" promotion from 1989 is "own work", and I do not see an adequate release for use of the 1984 "in from the cold" advertisement. Kablammo (talk) 01:33, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@KingBoreasVI:, can you address these concerns? Kablammo (talk) 01:45, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
