Accomplishments[edit]

I've removed: "Although he did not invent the battery like Volt did he did great improvements." because it adds nothing. What are these achievements and discoveries? It would be great if someone could add them to the section. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 04:17, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposing Edits to "Death" Section[edit]

According to this video recorded by channel 'Objectivity' at the Royal Society, using the Minutes from the meeting in which Daniell died and testimony from another professor in attendance, Daniell's jugular vein was "opened" at the suggestion of a doctor in the room after the other attendees noticed his odd behavior. I felt this was noteworthy, as it's not a typical procedure – especially not in the modern setting one reads Wikipedia articles in – to cut one of the most highly-traveled veins in the body in order to treat stroke. Please note that I don't suggest he died as a result of having his jugular vein cut, only that this particular attempt to save his life may be of note to modern readers — after all, the cut was resealed shortly after being made, and I doubt that the autopsy, jury, and witnesses could all have misidentified the cause of Daniell's death due purely to the zeitgeist of bloodletting at the time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crossark (talkcontribs) 00:47, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
