Gor lifestyle?[edit]

I saw no reason to have a reference to a book series in this article. Robinson followed a BDSM --which is the most well known term for it-- lifestyle, and calling it anthing else is likely to confuse readers. I do not believe Robinson was an active participant in BDSM. According to the biography "anyone you want me to be" he simply used BDSM as a method of finding victims. To people outside of the BDSM community, this may be a minor point, but to those of us who are in the BDSM community it is a very important distinction. gor lifestyle[edit]

Yes, you have to keep it in. 1 of the women murdered was very familiar with the gor lifestyle. Gor lifestyle is more all encompassing. A person gives up their IDENTITY to the master including bank accounts and SSN. Where is the reference for this? This is the first time I have heard of this in regards to this case. The fact that some of Robinson's behavior might be considered as falling inline with the Gor lifestyle is not reason enough to include it in the article unless it can be shown that he acknowledged and practiced it himself.68.249.103.53 (talk) 19:51, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"International Council of Masters"[edit]

My research indicates that there was never any group, even a secret one, by this name. Given Robinson's propensity for lying and exaggeration, it's more likely he concocted this group at some point, either to mislead investigators and researchers, or in a bizarre attempt at self-aggrandisement.Desmond Ravenstone (talk) 02:43, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have no doubt that you're correct, since Robinson has seldom purposefully said anything truthful in his life -- but unfortunately, you can't add it to the article without citing the references you used in your research. The reference currently cited does not say it was a fictitious organization. If you have reliable sources saying it was yet another of Robinson's fabrications, feel free to make the change again, and cite the sources. I find this source about as reliable as the source offered for the support of the International Council of Masters. [1] The offered source for the existence of this group is the only one that I've been able to find, and, by itself, does not offer a single clue as to where that information might have come from. All research into the provided sources do not come up with a single mention of this organization. Email hoax[edit]

The section with the above title is unsourced, and I have been unable to find any evidence that it is true. Even if it is, it does not contribute significantly to the article and demonstrates no relevance to it. So I'm going to remove it in a few days, unless someone objects strenuously and can put forward a cogent argument in support of that objection.
