See Adjutant_General_of_California#Adjutant_Generals_of_California. John Calhoun Johnson was never the Adjutant General of California certainly not during the El Dorado Indian Wars of 1850-51. William H. Richardson held that office at the time. Asiaticus (talk) 19:09, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
