Presumably this is the John Brown, 1805-1876, diocesan & county surveyor & most successful architect of the county in his prime, of [1].

Slight Yarn Factory discrepancy[edit]

I have just added a reference to a (considerably longer) list of works in Colvin's Biographical Dictionary of British Architects. The details check out, except that the Yarn Factory is 1834-5 there. There isn't necessarily a glitch, since it says there was further work, which could have been a couple of years later. Charles Matthews (talk) 20:42, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
