Needs a total rewrite.[edit]

The sources used, particularly in the opening are very poor indeed, including several commercial gallery websites which have no legitimacy as sources at all. Numerous claims are unsubstantiated - the discussion on the camera obscura for example - and it appears to be written more as a fan page than a serious article on the artist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 51.6.190.86 (talk) 15:27, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

He's good.[edit]

Maybe he was nerd with ugly beard, but paintings still great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.112.2.146 (talk) 19:38, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

that is *why* there is an article.. signed:Donan Raven (talk) 22:21, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Work[edit]

The last portion of this section is more an appreciation with no citations. Chemical Engineer (talk) 17:37, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a citation for the comments on "Shipping on the Clyde". I think that most or all of the "appreciation" now has sources cited. Blackwood (talk) 18:22, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
