CSection[edit]

Obviously the criticism section is filled with POV statement. Even after watching his show, I see none of this. And the accusation that he coordinates ahead of time with the fundamentalists, thats something that needs a definite citation. I took the entire thing out. Why is this part of the LDS project? I suspect that that comes from the same person that raised these unsubstantiated criticisms. John Ankerberg is not part of LDS anything. --71.238.121.147 (talk) 04:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PTL Scandal[edit]

Ankerberg is mentioned in the template concerning the PTL scandal, but nothing in this article mentions what his role (as a critic, apparently) in the matter was. WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 23:50, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing and notability[edit]

The only relevant, reliable, third party sourcing appears to be the NYT article, which is only tangentially about Ankerberg (and also decidedly WP:BLP1E). HrafnTalkStalk(P) 08:02, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Occupation[edit]

The Info box listed several occupations, including "Bible scholar." Dr. Ankerberg's degree from Luther Rice Seminary is the D. Min. He does not hold a degree in biblical studies. Although he has written about the Bible for a popular audience, this does not make him a Bible scholar. The bio on his website does not claim that he is a biblical scholar.BlueMesa171 (talk) 03:04, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
