Second series[edit]

This article is almost all about Friends. I think it needs more information from the character's second series for balance. MK2 03:34, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Headings please![edit]

This article really needs headings. I'll try to arrange some of it.

Headings have been added. IolakanaT 16:52, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

my contributions[edit]

why were my contributions deleted? this makes me a tad annoyed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chop Top (talkcontribs) 08:23, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm.[edit]

That thing about the picture of him being used, without his knowledge, for a VD-Awareness campaign?

Could that be a reference to the time when Matt Le Blanc's photo was used on the front cover of the Spartacus International Gay Guide? DS 19:04, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling of Ramoray?[edit]

Is there anything confirming if it's Ramoray or Ramorez? The latter just sounds more natural... Timrollpickering 02:15, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure it's always been Ramoray.. according to official sites, etc.
I've only ever seen it written 'Ramoray' - not to mention the fact that 'Ramorez' would likely be pronounced to rhyme with fez and Pez. But I don't speak any Portuguese, so I may be wrong. Charlycrash 11:37, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hugsy[edit]

Joey sleeps with his "Bedtime Penguin Pal," Hugsy, a plush doll and the penguin is shown every time Joey's bed is seen. Hugsy is seen still in Joey's possession on Joey. Rachel's daughter Emma became enamored by Hugsy; Joey at first allowed Hugsy to stay in Emma's playpen, but eventually decided he loved him too much and took him back.

Is it clear that Joey takes back the old Hugsy? I recall he brought a new Hugsy that both he and Emma didn't feel was the same. Timrollpickering 18:21, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fisrt Apperance[edit]

it was the pilot, not monica gets a roomate 81.110.2.1 18:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Same thing - The Pilot is often called The One Where Monica Gets A Roommate or The One Where It All Began to retain the TOW beginning.

Birthday?[edit]

When did we hear that Joey's birthday is January 9th? --67.162.34.19 19:52, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving[edit]

I've changed the bit about how he's "one of the few "Friends" that made (relatively) few moves of home" because it's simply not true. In fact Joey, with four moves, is in second place with the number of moves, beaten only by Rachel, with five moves. In tied fourth place, Monica moved only twice (across the hall and back again), as did Phoebe (from her grandmother's into Chandler and Monica's apartment, and back again). In tied third place with three moves each are Chandler (across the hall and back again, and back again) and Ross (to the apartment owned by Emily's uncle, in with Joey & Chandler and into Ugly Naked Guy's apartment). Joey is in second place with four moves (across the hall and back again, into his own place and back again), and Rachel is in first with five moves (in with Monica, in with Phoebe, in with Joey, in with ross and back with Joey). Charlycrash 11:29, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wrong, phobe moves in with ross.... phobe has 4 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.119.21.105 (talk) 03:21, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about ur mum, she has like 365 a year! A different bed every night HAHAH! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.255.21.75 (talk) 13:29, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong, Rachel has 8 moves (In with Monica, across the hall and back, in with Phoebe, in with Chandler and Monica, in with Joey, in with Ross then in with Joey again. *The Chandler and Monica move was only for one night though so if that doesn't count it still means 7 moves.

jobs[edit]

how about working at the hotel in vegas?

That was just for one night while he was waiting for his movie production to get going again, so I think it is not notable.

New York Knicks[edit]

There ought to at least be a small mention of Joey's love of the Knicks. Watching or going to Knicks games plays a part in many plots over the course of the show. CastingCrowns (talk) 15:04, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Favorite Actor?[edit]

I don't ever recall Joey saying his favorite actor is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Friends went off the air in 2004 and The Rock had only been in two movies. I am going to delete this "fact" from the page.

Relationships[edit]

If anyone has the time there should really be a bit about Joey's relationship with Rachel as its probably one of the most significant he had.

Religion?[edit]

Why does it say either Catholic or Judaism? Was it never mentioned, and we're just guessing because he's from New York and it's assumed you have to either be catholic or jewish? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.64.104.4 (talk) 01:41, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In episode 19 of season 7, it's said that he is circumsized. I don't think catholic are. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.208.108.177 (talk) 14:52, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

World class eater[edit]

One of his traits seems to be eating nearly unlimited ammounts of food. in the 8th seasons thanksgiving episode he eats a 17 pound turkey and even asks for cake afterwards. In the 9th seasons episode #5 he eats a 6-person meal alone and, again, asks for cake afterwards. His capacity is nearly superhuman :) 83.216.255.58 (talk) 05:44, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Slept with teacher?[edit]

Is there a specific episode where it's said he "slept with his teacher in the seventh grade" so we know the wording and context? I'm no expert on New York's school system, but that would be about age 12 - that's very young, even for a reference trying to put him in a situation that's deliberately "out there". It would probably be best described as molestation rather than just "slept with", unless there's a factor that he was delayed and several years over age for his grade perhaps? If you're still paying attention to the thread, it is/was "The One with the Cooking Class" The brave celery (talk) 22:47, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
