An anonymous editor 131.252.232.198 removed the following text:

Keith's writing has been criticized as factually inaccurate and his controversial views often fail to resonate with his audience. Among other things, Keith has been criticized for labelling former American President Bill Clinton a "Soviet agent".

I agree that the comment about "fail[ure] to resonate" should be removed, but the other comments seem relevant, if true. Do critics claim Keith's writing is "factually inaccurate"? If so, could we have a simple reference?

Also, I think that the charge Clinton was a Soviet agent is a nice way to suggest that Keith is a touch extreme in his views. Again, a reference would be in order. Where did he claim this? Phiwum 08:54, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An Amazon user comment on Keith's book Black Helicopters over America: Strikeforce for the New World Order says he refers to Clinton as a "possible Soviet agent," but I have not seen the book myself.

CoS affiliation[edit]

I knew Jim from 1966 to his death. He got me into Scientology and I almost got him out (he jumped from Scientology to a splinter group called Avatar). I don't have any handy citations, but I was there with him. I co-edited the mag in which we published an article by Jack Harness about Dianetics. Jack was an old time Dianeticist and a mutual friend of ours and a fellow member of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society (of which L. Ron Hubbard was also a member). Jim Keith came to live with me in Klamath Falls, OR after leaving staff at Riverside Mission in 1974. I came to visit him while he was working at the Reno Mission in 1984. We saw each other daily from 1966 to 1970, and from 1978 to 1980 and from 1988 till his death in 1999. So I am an eye witness to his spiritual persuits. --Jerry E. Smith

Blunt Force Trauma[edit]

A 2005 edit by 69.109.22.70 added:

 or so it was reported in the local newspaper, although the Coroner's report listed cause of death as "blunt force trauma."

In a 1999 newspaper article [1], [2] with a correction, the Coroner is quoted as stating "This is considered an accidental death". Does anyone have a citation from a WP:RS for the Coroner's report stating that the cause of death was "blunt force trauma"? Searching Google and Newspapers.com, I've found no earlier source for "blunt force trauma", so eventually I'm going to mark it as citation needed and add the newspaper articles. I obtained the "Record of Death" from the Coroner and it said:

Manner of death: "Accident"

Cause of death "FALL FROM HEIGHT"

Due to: "PULMONARY EMBOLISM"

Due to: "RIGHT TIBIAL FRACTURE"

Due to: "BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA (FALL)"

So, I added the above text, which might seems like excessive detail. I would be fine if there was less text, but I don't think it should just say "blunt force trauma" because that implies violence, whereas "blunt force trauma (fall)" more accurately describes the incident. Tributes[edit]

Hi Johnsonmt01 (talk · contribs), many thanks for your edits to the article. In particular, thank you for finding the 1995 RGJ article. I was wondering if you would consider removing the Tributes section as they are not WP:RS sources and do not appear to be authored by anyone notable. Perhaps we could have the findagrave link in an External links section and use Template:Find a Grave, though perhaps the link should be removed, see WP:FINDAGRAVE-EL. Under "Interviews and Appearances" there are multiple links to the same Internet Archive video, perhaps these could be combined to just one link. Cxbrx (talk) 15:04, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review and recommendations. I've removed the Find A Grave link, since I agree on second-look that it doesn't add anything new or noteworthy.
