"They turned out to be the kickiest two years of my life"[edit]

It may be my age, it may be that I am from the wrong side of the Atlantic, or a combination of other factors, but I have no idea what this quote means. I am sure it was perfectly plain at the time, in context, and among people familiar with then current dialect, but I am unable to tell if “kickiest” is to be seen as a positive or a negative sentiment: did he have a good time, an easy time, an awful time, a difficult time, or something else…? It might be helpful if someone could add a bit of context to the article to explain (e.g.“…having found the experience enjoyable/ stimulating/ a nightmare/ a challenge, Hutton was quoted as saying:…”) Jock123 (talk) 09:46, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
