Discussion: Defection Tracker: Google at war - Google Regime Changes?[edit]

Jared Cohen's emails reveal how the U.S. State Department and Google worked in concert to topple the government of elected Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in an attempt at forwarding U.S. geopolitical strategy.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.130.61.114 (talk) 18:10, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is it really fair to emphasize that Assad was "elected," given the serious controversy over the validity of those elections? BlackberryLaw (talk) 02:48, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business[edit]

Google's Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen, director of the Google Ideas think tank, published The New Digital Age: Reshaping the Future of People, Nations and Business, which discusses the geopolitical implications of increasingly widespread Internet use and access to information. The book was inspired by an essay in Foreign Affairs magazine the two co-wrote in 2010.[1][2][3] [You find this paragraph on Eric Schmidt's Wikipedia page, FYI.] — Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 02:45, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
