Any relation to the famous outlaw?[edit]

Her dad was called James and they named the kid Jessie. Why? I guess a lot of people must have asked themselves this, and it is after all the task of Wikipedia to inform.... so does anyone have any info on this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.36.130.236 (talk) 03:50, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Second album?[edit]

does anyone have any info on her 2nd album? Elektrik Band 03:36, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Move back to Jessie James[edit]

Her website is still being used and her new single cover credits her as Jessie James. Is it reasonable to move it back. Seems she's wisely sticking with the same name. 155.69.2.11 (talk) 12:13, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Childhood/background/parents[edit]

Born Italy, the at least lived in two different states in the USA. I expect her father is/was a member of the US Military, add mention this. Wfoj2 (talk) 00:27, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe all this was once in the article, but someone has been removing all this pretty dilligently for some reason...155.69.203.1 (talk) 13:20, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move back to Jessie James[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved to Jessie James. Clearly meets WP:COMMONNAME, and confusion with the outlaw is adequately handled by the hatnote. Favonian (talk) 19:53, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jessica JamesJessie James – I have no idea why this move was made considering she is still known professionally as "Jessie James" and never once as "Jessica James". Plus "Jessie James" still redirects here. QuasyBoy (talk) 19:50, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I think it should redirect to the outlaw, since it's also a common misspelling of his name. 70.24.248.211 (talk) 05:43, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I think a hatnote on this page should suffice to differentiate between the outlaw. As well as adding more disambig info for the singer in Jesse James (disambiguation). QuasyBoy (talk) 17:50, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding move to Jessie James Decker[edit]

Allow me to explain my move in more detail than an edit summary would allow. Since 2013, the singer has released music (a single, "I Do", and an EP, Comin Home) under the James Decker surname. Google results were also considered: there are 1.66 million results for "jessie james decker", and only 90,700 for "jessie james -decker" from the date of her wedding (June 22, 2013) to today. Wikipedia's naming conventions for changed surnames advise to use "the name by which the person is best known", and sources seem to show that Jessie James Decker is her common name as of 2013.

I have also taken into consideration that her 2009 album released under the name Jessie James and its singles (her original claim to notability) were not particularly successful, and that she is currently notable for starring in an E! television series with her husband.

Any editor who disagrees may feel free to request a move back to "Jessie James". –Chase (talk / contribs) 02:16, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
